Description: Here’s a great activity for children who need to work on word retrieval skills.  For this one, you will need to list a common task, like brushing your teeth, making a sandwich, putting on your shoes, etc.  Ask the child to list as many items that are required to do that task as possible.  Encourage the child to get creative!  The more items he can list, the more words he’s connecting in his brain.  If he’s putting on shoes and socks, he can include the carpet he sits on and the lights in the room that help him see!
