Frequently Asked Questions

Since our curriculum kits are no-prep, that means you don’t need a lot of materials to use them, which makes them perfect for teletherapy.  You can either send these worksheets to your clients ahead of time, or simply pull them up on a screen share during your teletherapy sessions.  Then, once you’ve completed the lesson, send that page home as homework.  All of our new curriculum worksheets have a homework box directly on the worksheet.

We cover ages birth through 18 years, though many of our resources are great for working with adults as well.  Here’s a list of all of the goals, conditions, and therapy approaches that we cover by age.  You’ll be able to see the list but you won’t be able to click on the actual resources until you sign up for a membership:

Absolutely!  We’re happy to give your group a discount on memberships to The SLP Solution!  Check out our group membership discounts here (or send this link to your administrator):

We are here to answer your questions and help you with your tricky cases! You have two options for how you can connect to our thriving communities.

1. Private Facebook Group: Social media makes it easier than ever for us to connect with others in our profession.  But this isn’t just ANY Facebook group!  This is a private group just for our paid members.  Our staff and our community manager, Shanell Latta, CCC-SLP, work hard to make sure that our community is a supportive and kind one.  We also make sure that you’ll get great, helpful answers to your questions as quickly as possible.  Plus, most of our community hangs out here in this Facebook group so you’ll get answers from other speech-language pathologists and professionals in here as well!

(Not interested in all of the rest of the Facebook nonsense?  If you’re not a fan of using Facebook, you can simply set up a username and password to join our group and then bookmark our specific Facebook group link below.  Then, you can go straight to the group without having to browse through everything else on Facebook first.)

*** Please note that you’ll need to request to join the group and it may take us a few business days to get everyone approved. We appreciate your patience!

2. Private Website Forum: Not on Facebook?  No problem!  We also have a private forum on our website where you can ask questions and get support.  I will warn you that our private forum is not as popular or as active as our Facebook group, so the answers come in a little more slowly and the community members don’t always chime in on here.  But our full staff of SLPs are ready to answer your questions in the forum just as well as the Facebook group.  So you can still get some support without the social media.

You will be set up on a payment plan via Paypal or your credit card. Each month, you will be charged the monthly fee. You can cancel at any time and there is no cancellation fee!

These memberships are for Speech-Language Pathologists/Therapists and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants who work with children as well as other professionals who work with children with speech and language needs. This membership is not for parents because each training video assumes a basic understanding of speech and language concepts and techniques that would have been covered in graduate-level coursework in communication disorders and may be more advanced than many parents are interested in.

Want to see a sample of our materials?  Click the links to see two of our no-prep kits.  You’ll find many more like this inside the membership area as we build out our Curriculum (Completion Date: Summer 2020)

Still not sure?  You can try it, risk free!  If you’re not in love with our membership in the first 30 days, we’ll issue a refund with no hassle, no questions asked (unless you want to give us feedback so we can improve)!  We treat our customers the way we’d treat a dear friend, and that means making sure you’re happy with what you paid for.

As of July 1st, 2019, The SLP Solution is no longer an ASHA-Approved CE Provider.  We spent a lot of time and money to maintain our CE Provider Status for as long as we could but we found that the time and financial commitment was not worth what we were able to get out of it.  For that reason, we decided that our time and money is better spent finding other ways to help our community.  We’re now able to offer you more new resources and planning tools each month than we were when we were working with ASHA.

You can still get continuing education credit for our webinars though!  Since we are not an approved provider, we can no longer submit your hours directly to ASHA, but you can do it yourself!  We are able to allow you to print of a certificate of completion for certification maintenance hours (CMH). ASHA will allow you to use these types of CMHs for all 30 of your continuing education hours, you just have to fill out a form at the end of your certification cycle to state which CMHs you attended.

For more information about how CMH work, click here!

Helping You Help Them

Our Mission

We all got into this field because we wanted to help.  But high caseloads, tons of paperwork, and not enough planning time leads to burn-out and stress.

The SLP Solution’s mission is to support you with tools, resources, and expert advice so that you can be there for the children who depend on you!

*** The SLP Solution is for informational and educational purposes only and does not provide medical or psychological advice.  We provide general resources but cannot tell you exactly what should be done for a specific client.  Every client is different and your clinical judgement should be used when making decisions about specific individuals.
