Secretly Analyze Someone Else’s Speech Activity
Description: Ok, don’t pretend you’ve never done this. You’re in a group and having a nice time and then someone new starts talking and you’re instantly thinking “oooh what’s going on with that one??”. It’s a great past time that keeps your skills sharp and your brain engaged in what’s going on around you. Maybe it’s a kid at the grocery store or the woman in line ahead of you at the bank. Just take a quick language sample and conduct a thorough analysis mentally. Then, you’ll stop and realize what you’re doing and immediately disregard everything you were thinking because we all know that’s an invalid sample and you didn’t have consent. Just kidding…pretend you didn’t do that.
