Pre-Writing Organization Activity for Narratives

Pre-Writing Organization Activity for Narratives

Description: When working on writing narratives with children, it is important to teach them solid pre-writing organizational skills.  You can use simple pre-writing templates like the one from our pack here.  For younger children, you would want to include the situation/context, the characters/narrator, the events, and a closing statement.  For high schoolers, you’ll need to be more detailed and include things like the set up, the point of view, and a solid conclusion.  You can create your own graphic organizers or use our pre-made ones here that are specific to the different age groups.

Helping You Help Them

Our Mission

We all got into this field because we wanted to help.  But high caseloads, tons of paperwork, and not enough planning time leads to burn-out and stress.

The SLP Solution’s mission is to support you with tools, resources, and expert advice so that you can be there for the children who depend on you!

*** The SLP Solution is for informational and educational purposes only and does not provide medical or psychological advice.  We provide general resources but cannot tell you exactly what should be done for a specific client.  Every client is different and your clinical judgement should be used when making decisions about specific individuals.
